Reviewing/ trying out the new Maggi Royale Penang Seafood Curry

Out of curiousity for all the instant noodles Penang curry mee or seafood curry, I decided to try the new Maggi Royale Penang Seafood Curry. It comes with the claim of having real belacan and that was enough to make hubby cringe (he is not a big fan of belacan)

Instant noodles are so important nowadays in households with small budgets, for students or anyone who want a quick snack or to fill up your stomach, especially living in the world where cost of living is constantly on the rise. It is not the recommended food but many people, including yours truly cannot really live without it.

The seasoning and powder sachets. The top silver packet is errrmmm... creamer for your curry.

It is not exactly the same like the real deal you get from the hawker's stall, food court or Little Penang version, but if you are not that fussy, is quite nice. The broth is reasonably tasty and it is not very spicy.

Personally, I find it ok and would give a 6 1/2 out of 10 for it. It is somewhat quite expensive though retailing for RM7 ++ , so I think I might only eat it once in a while.. Still love the original Maggi curry lots... hehehe
