Saphaipae Hostel in Bangkok

I am one of those people who flashpack or like to travel comfortably but on a tight budget. So when I found out about Saphaipae Hostel, it seemed like a lovely place. Hubby was the first to point out that while pictures can look lovely, reality can be a whole different story, and admittedly that happens a lot of times...even back here in Malaysia

I traveled via bus and van from Siem Reap to Bangkok and naturally I was extremely exhausted by the time I got to Bangkok.

I took the BTS to Surasak and walked towards the hostel. To my utmost surprise. Saphaipae Hostel was lovely and very clean, comfortable and very well suited to all kinds of tourist.

The reception was definitely welcoming. I opted for a ladies dorm and I was given a key to a totally separate entrance to the women's dorm. Yeap.. you heard me, there is one floor exclusively only for women. So even as a single lady travelling here , you can be sure you are in pretty safe hands while at Saphaipae.

Here is the women's dorm. For about RM40++ a bed for a night, you get a very comfortable bed, blanket and pillow and your own lights and plug points. And WiFi is good!!!!

The shared bathroom is also only for ladies here and even comes with hair dryers etc.....

And if you have a load of dirty clothes like I did coming from another place, you can have them washed and dried here at their washing machine for a small fee. It was pretty amazing.

And I can assure you the service here is awesome. The staff are very friendly. I checked out early and my train was late evening, but they were willing to keep my bag for me and even allowed me to have a shower and a change of clothing in the evening before I moved on on my back packing trip next destination....

The hostel is just about 5 mins walk from Surasak BTS.. Which is just 2-3 stops from the heart of Silom
